LaTasha Duran aka “Tasha D” -------- was born August 12, 1977, she is the second oldest daughter of four girls. Tasha was raised by a young single mother and very strict bible believing grandmother in the middle of one of the roughest areas of East Fort Worth Texas . Being the middle child was no easy position in a household full of women, so naturally Tasha took to comedy as way to alleviate corporal punishment or at least to stay on her grandmother’s good side, because she was known to be “heavy handed”. Although she loves being the class clown and adores being the butt of a good joke her intelligence is no laughing matter. Tasha has earned a BS degree in Biology and Pre- Physical Therapy from Texas Southern University in Houston Texas.
Tasha has always had a taste for the variety of life and so she has chosen many unconventional ways of incorporating these variations into her life as a comedian and a licensed Realtor. So while she is waiting for the next stage to grace, whether in life or in comedy she is always thinking of the type of legacy she is leaving for the ones who believe in her the most.
“Tasha D” is known to tackle a variety of topics all of which come from personal tragedies and triumphs, she somehow has combined them all up to display a remarkable performance of an outstanding humorist. All the while keeping a big smile on her face as she adds comedic satire to certain situations that most women experience but are way too lady-like to mention in public.
Tasha D is making her mark in the comedy world as one of Fort Worth’s funniest female comedians. She has managed to surprise her audiences by her blunt descriptions of basic human experiences with a colorful comedic twist. She has become a comedy favorite amongst her peers as well as the local audiences that have had the pleasure of being entertained by such a clever comic.
Performing on stage is not only her dream but it is her gift from God to give to the masses. She has vowed to be candid and authentic as her talent will allow, leaving it all on the stage where it belongs for her fans to ENJOY!!!
